A common question before ordering: should you choose the Performance Capsules, the Intimate Performance Oil, or both? The honest answer depends on what the two products are actually designed to do — they're built for different moments, not as competing versions of the same thing.
Performance Capsules: built for every day
The capsules combine ten Ayurvedic botanicals — Ashwagandha, Shilajit, Safed Musli, Gokshura, Shatavari, Kaunch Beej, Vidarikand, Bala, Nagarmotha and Akarkara — in a formulation meant to be taken daily, as part of a routine. This reflects the Ayurvedic principle covered in our guide to daily habits for stamina: vitality herbs are traditionally used consistently over time, supporting stamina and endurance from within.
Intimate Performance Oil: built for the moment
The topical oil is designed for external application before intimacy, used at the time it is needed rather than taken daily over weeks. This is a fundamentally different mechanism — a topical, in-the-moment application versus a daily internal formulation — which is why it's offered as a separate product rather than folded into the capsules.
Why some customers use both
Because the two products work on different timelines (daily internal support vs. in-the-moment topical use), they're designed to complement rather than duplicate each other — which is the thinking behind Herbovian's combined routine bundle, pairing 60 Performance Capsules with 30ml of Intimate Performance Oil in one discreet shipment.
How to decide where to start
If your priority is everyday stamina and endurance, start with the capsules and give the daily routine time to become consistent. If your focus is the moment itself, the oil is designed for that specific use case. You can also start with one and decide later whether to add the other.

Using the oil safely
Patch-test the oil on a small area of skin first, keep it away from broken skin, eyes and mucous membranes, and stop if irritation occurs. Oil-based products can weaken latex condoms and make them more likely to break, so do not rely on a latex condom after applying the oil.
